In order to use the Hitachi S-570 SEM, all users must meet the following requirements:

1.  Taken MET 313 at Missouri S&T and passed, or an accredited SEM course with certificate available.
2.  Demonstrate adequate operation of the scope to person in charge of the instrument.
3.  Demonstrate need for SEM analysis on a routine basis not less than 1 session per month for a 12 month period.
4.  Post-Docs, Visiting Scholars and Professors will be trained on an as needed basis.
